I know how you feel with the LOOONG cycles (having PCOS too), but in order to keep things moving, Usually the doc (RE or OBGYN) "induces" my cycle with progesterone or 5-10 days worth of the pill. That way, I have a withdrawal period and we can get moving on the important stuff. Have they ever done that with you?
Welcome to our adventures as an infertile couple trying to have our first baby. I am 28 and have PCOS and he is 29 with no known fertility issues. I work as a consultant and he is going back to school to pursue engineering.

Not fun to be overwhelmed, but sometimes being busy is better than bored. You'd just obsess about your cycle! GL!
